The Loss

The Loss
It's a lie that we once ventured towards a common way
For we met in darkness and light was to us but a gloomy day
Fear was a friend and fate had never yet been bent
Not known what was sent, nor the morals or where they've went
For I once said we can’t know
When shelters are but the winters and their snow
Nor that such days might come
When people know not where their from
When stars shall fall and a stranger in the midst of darkness will call
Towards those grieving, towards a lost soul
So he might tell of one who has truly lost all
